Uber has announced plans to have a 100% electric fleet in London and teamed up with companies like Splend to provide more affordable EV access for drivers like you.
The mobility giant proposes to become the world’s first zero-emission rideshare platform by 2040. and appointed the British capital as one of the strategic markets spearheading the movement. Uber promises to have a 100% electric fleet in London by 2025.
In order to meet the ambitious target, Uber now charges riders an extra 15p/mile in London, which goes to their Clean Air Fund – established with the goal of making electric cars more affordable for drivers.
To help Uber accelerate toward their goal, we’ll soon expand our fleet with new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and fully electric (EV) models on our Rent to buy plan.
