A seasoned veteran of London’s roads, Olalekan Ibraheem has been driving with Bolt for two years now.

Ola was one of our first customers to pick up his Hyundai Ioniq Electric on our Flexi own subscription, through the partnership between Splend and Bolt.

When asked about the opportunity to own a brand-new electric car, Ola replied, “I’m very, very, excited.”

When we talked about the savings he’ll achieve by driving an electric car for ridesharing, he really couldn’t hide his excitement:

For the first time, I’m driving an electric car and I won’t need to pay the Congestion Charge anymore.

I’ll be saving a weekly £105 as I drive into the Congestion Charge Zone everyday – partly because of where I live, but declining all the trips through Central London would also be a luxury I can’t afford. I don’t have to pay for fuel anymore either, and charging is cheaper.

Ola was also quick to point out that contributing to a cleaner air in London by driving an electric car was another big factor in his decision.
