Starting November 2021, Bolt will offer drivers the option to set up their own prices for trips, through a bid, in order to create a better-functioning marketplace. This is an attractive alternative for drivers, and also easier to follow for passengers, as traditional pricing models usually present problems during high-demand periods.

Uber has recently increased its rates by 10% in London and even 15% at peak times for rides to Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton. The app comes with rate improvements for the first time since 2017, as a support gesture for drivers, but also to deal successfully with the current high demand on the market.

Uber announces a change in their privacy policies and starting November 2021, the app will consider how frequently drivers have rejected trips in the past, before assigning a new job to them. This action is meant to streamline the traffic and reduce the high demand occurring on-peak hours, with very low response times from Uber drivers.
