Richard’s latest piece: a jet-black IONIQ to contrast his bright personality

Richard Owusu is a fashionable man and his impressive look just got a boost with his award-winning Hyundai IONIQ Electric from Splend.

I asked a couple of friends and they said the Hyundai IONIQ Electric is very good, very reliable.

Leaving our Splend Hub in Cricklewood was the first time Richard has been behind the wheel of an electric car, and in what’s becoming a common theme for our new EV drivers, he said he was “very-very excited!”

We asked what exactly does he find most exciting about his new EV, and as we’d suspected, it was all about the hip pocket:

“I’m most excited about not paying the Congestion Charge anymore, as I drive in there about five times a week”

The Congestion Charge Zone currently costs drivers £15 per day, so that’s a minimum saving of £75 per week for Richard thanks to the electric car.
