How does Uber’s Clean Air plan work? 

For all trips you took between 16 January 2019 and 14 March 2022, Uber charged your riders a small fee, which went into your EV Assistance. Similar to a savings account, you can now access the money raised, to buy a new car through Splend. 

How does EV Boost work? 

1. Find your EV assistance

Open the Uber driver app and look for “Electric vehicle grant” in your inbox. If you’re having trouble finding it, our team can check if you’re eligible.  

2. Head to our online EV boost calculator

Select your favourite EV and use the slider to match your EV assistance found in step one. The calculator will automatically apply our EV boost, doubling your EV assistance. For example, if you have £3,000 EV assistance, we’re doubling it to £6,000 you can use as credit towards paying for the EV you want. The calculator shows you how much you save per week based on the ownership term you select. 

3. Submit your application

Now that you calculated your savings, it’s time to submit your enquiry and speak to our expert team about getting started with EV Boost.  

4. Get on the road

Start putting your weekly payments towards owning your brand-new EV.
