To drive on the GTC platform using your family car or subscription cars, such as a Splend car on the Flexi or Flexi own plans, you need to sign up as a so-called Owner driver.

Eligible cars need to be less than four years old, from the following makes and models:

Green Tomato Cars driver requirements in London

Same as with all rideshare platforms, you need to submit some personal documents that certify that you’re suitable to work as a private hire driver in London:

  • PCO licence (paper licence as well as photo badge)
  • Full UK driver’s licence
  • ID
  • Proof of address
  • National Insurance number

Unlike other platforms, GTC expect you to dress nicely when you’re working, and they encourage the following uniform:

  • Shirt and tie
